Rachel Heath
Classification: Senior
Major: English and Theology
Hometown: Raleigh, NC
Rachel Heath is a senior majoring in English and
Theology. Rachel is originally from Raleigh, NC, but
because her father was in the military, she has moved
around her whole life; her parents are currently living
in Florida where Rachel’s father, Ray, is a military
contractor and mother, Mary, is a message therapist.
Rachel has one older sister, Jessica.
Rachel grew up in Christian schools most of her life.
She came to Lee because of a friend who was one year
older. Her friend enrolled at Lee, and Rachel decided to
come visit her here. Rachel said, “I came to campus and
knew.”
Rachel is now a senior graduating in May. While at
school she has been involved in a variety of things. She
was a member of the Student Leadership Council (SLC) and
served as the house secretary for two years. She is the
Vice President of the English Honors Society (Sigma Tau
Delta), works as a research assistant for one of Lee’s
Theology Professors (Dr. Cross) and she serves as Chair
of the Women’s Round Table.
After school Rachel plans to spend time overseas for a
couple of years before attending graduate-school. She
would love to go to Switzerland and South Africa.
